LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder says he is planning another economic-development trip to Asia.
The Republican governor told a group of timber industry officials in Lansing on Tuesday that he will travel to China and Japan in the fall. He also led trade trips to the region in 2011 and 2012.
Snyder didn't give the dates for his trip.
Snyder also was scheduled to meet Tuesday with a visiting delegation from China's Guizhou (gwee-zhoh) province. He says he was hoping to talk with the officials about timber and agriculture trade along with building potential manufacturing relationships.
Last year, 21 Michigan business accompanied Snyder and economic-development officials on the trip to find potential new markets and business partnerships.
