LOUISVILLE, KY -?Shorty Rossi from Animal Planet?s Pit Boss along with his service dog Hercules are joining Louisville Metro Animal Services (LMAS) and Hand-In-Paw Rescue for an extremely important educational event at Animal House Adoption Center, 3516 Newburg Road, from 10:00 a.m. ? 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2012.? The goal is to inform the community about the importance of spaying and neutering pets.?
?We see almost 12,000 animals enter our shelter every year,? said Director of Louisville Metro Animal Services Justin Scally.? ?Spaying and neutering is a big part of reducing our intake numbers and ultimately increasing lifesaving.?
Over a dozen rescue groups and animal care advocates along with vendors will join the fun.? Of course, many adoptable animals will be present hoping to find their forever homes.
In conjunction with the event, Metro Animal Services will offer an adoption special.?? Dogs six months and older are $85 and cats and kittens are $30, all with approved applications.
